The Éternelle Vault
For members whose collections have outgrown the drawing-room, the Maison keeps reserves as it keeps its own — in a private Swiss vault, under the stillness of the cellar, held tax-free and released only to the hand that owns them.
A place outside the world
Beneath la Combe-Éternelle the Maison maintains a secured vault held to the standard of its own cellars: constant temperature, constant darkness, constant discretion. A collection placed in custody rests among the house's own reserves and never leaves the care of the Maison until it is called for.
Nothing is displayed and nothing is disclosed. The vault keeps what is placed in it exactly as the cellar keeps a reserve — still, dark, and answerable to no one but the house.
Held in the manner of bullion
As with the great houses of gold, a reserve held within the vault is held tax-free: it does not travel, it is not realised, and so it is not counted. The member owns; the Maison keeps.
The distinction is the whole of the service — and the whole of its discretion. A reserve you never see is a reserve that never troubles a ledger.
The arrangement
Custody is offered by monthly retainer, to members only, and only for reserves sourced through the Maison. The fee is modest against the assurance it buys, and is discussed, as everything is, on application.
A collection so held remains complete, and remains yours — for as long as it is kept. The house does not sell the reserve twice. It keeps it once, and keeps it well.
